A Vacation That Was Cancelled

Before the accident my family decided to take a vacation trip to my home country, the Philippines. I was really excited to go back to my home; I've been gone for about 10 years and I've been away from my other relatives too, especially my mom. The last time I saw them was I was 10 years old. I started to count the days till I get home, but what I didn't know was that I'll be involved in a terrible car accident.

I honestly do not remember anything on May 4th, like what I was doing before the accident, all I knew was that I had a health class and my 2 friends and I went to go out to eat somewhere.

All I remember was I was put in a medically induced coma, so that I don't move too much and my brain pressure won't go up.

When I woke up I saw my mom next to me, my dad told me that I was crying when I saw her and I held her hand tightly, I was really happy that I saw her. I felt so vulnerable and sad when I saw her, I could not believe that our reunion would be like this,

I was just happy that she sacrificed her 3 months taking care of me, she was one of my nurses/CNA. Anyways I was in the Intensive Care Unit(ICU) for about a 1 and half month, and I knew I was in a medically induced coma for a month.

The nurses also made me sit for the first time I believe it was for an hour and half, but after 30 minutes my butt started to hurt due to sitting for too long.

This is the first time they tried to make me stand up and take little steps at a time as if I am walking it was really hard because I had a hard time balancing.

On July 21 I was then moved to an in patient rehabilitation center where I had very intense therapies.

As I was in the hospital starting May 4th to August 4th, I often get bored a lot and ask my self why does this happen to me and suffer with a lot of injuries mentally and physically??

Thankfully my friends visited me on their free time, I'm thankful for that
